spilled coffee on my Macbook

I accidentally spilled coffee on my Macbook recently. I used a hairdryer to dry the keyboard and then removed the back cover and dried everything.

When I start it up now, it goes to the password page, but doesn't recognise my password, which I know is correct. Some of the keys don't work and the delete key also turns up the volume.

I put the original install disk in to try and get into the computer and transfer all of my details, but it doesn't load.

Is there anything I can do to get my data from it?

with luck its just the keyboard thats faulty, try plugging in a usb keyboard and use that to enter your pass word and extract data to external drive.

I'll give it a go when I get home.

If the coffee had sugar in it you may be in serious difficulty but, if nothing else works, taking out the Hard Drive and connecting it to another Mac, should give you all you data.
