Is this spec any good for maxed out games?

I haven't bought a decent pc for years and feel a bit out of my depth. I want to play games like b4 on ultra and want to keep the price as close to £1100 as pos. Can you let me know if you think the below spec would meet my needs?

  1. I was considering a GTX 780 but it's pricey and don't know if it's overkill. Will the GTX 770 be a good alternative and do I need the 4GB or is 2GB okay (only playing on 1 monitor at 1080)

  2. Do I need a water cooler for the processor or is an air fan suitable if it's overclocked to 4.2GHz?

  3. I know nothing about motherboards. Is this one okay, or would I be okay with a cheaper one?

Any advice is very welcome :)

No difference with W7 or W8 , W8 will load more quickly and is lighter . I would go for better memory ( at least 1600 MHz ) , and try and get the Samsung Eva 840 SSD as it comes with Rapid technology. You might want to look at the Corsair range of closed loop water coolers . I use the H100 , and have been very pleased with it . I don't think you will be able to reach ultra on bf4 , but high and very high at decent frame rates should be achievable. Will you be building yourself ?

I've been looking at dinopc to build the system. Can't believe how many contradictory messages I'm getting on other forums! I'll just have to make the plunge. Thanks for your responses. /p>
