Speaker Clicks When Using Mouse

  PAE 18:18 04 Jul 2006

I seem to have picked up a problem that I can't find a cure for. When I select an icon or attempt to open data (such as the thread titles on this site) I get a very loud click through my speakers. Clicking on text in a file for example it doesn't make a sound at all. It's driving me mad. Any ideas please

Go to Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sound tab and turn of the sound that occuring, I can't remember off-hand which entry it is that needs unticking but with a little trial and error, you'll find the correct entry.

the entry in question is "start navigation", which comes under the "windows explorer" section.

(That's following on from the advice given by MAJ).

Good luck,

It's easy when someone tells you. I had looked at the Sounds Tab but I was looking for Mouse. I have set Start Navigatiuon to none aqnd the sound has gone. Thanks both of you.
