Soundcard already in use

Whenever I try to listen to music (usually on line at bbc.co.uk but other times as well) i'm told that another programme is already using the soundcard. I can't see anything it could be when I press Ctrl+Alt+Del dut as I don't know what most of them are thats not to surprising. Shuting down and restarting usually solves the problem but its getting annoying! I'd be gratefull for any help.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and end task on one of the applications running. Then try your sound to see if it works. If it doesn't repeat the Ctrl/Alt/Del process and end task on the next application and try your sound again. Repaet this until you end task on the process that is using your soundcard. Post back what this process is and well take it a bit further. By the way don't end task on Explorer.
