sound and mouse problems with pci ethernet card

I have fitted a pci ethernet card to my daughters pc running windows xp.
The lan port on the motherboard does not seem to work.
When I install the pci card the mouse is slightly eratic and I get some strange reverberating noise when playeing any sounds.
I used this same card some time ago with the same probs. This is a very small cheap card.
Would a better card provide the solution.???

Possibly due to it being cheap. But, you may have to install the CORRECT drivers. Use Everest Home to find the exact card, the use say Google™ to get the drivers. I think the on-board LAN needs drivers too. If not, try investing into a better card. I recomend Creative Sound Blaster.

I have fitted a much better ethernet card and it cured the problem.
