Sony Vaio AR31S hard drive problem

  foxychops75 11:28 30 May 2011

Hi there - I recently had my graphics card updated on my Sony Vaio laptop, but now I seem to have lost 50% of my hard drive. I should have drives 0 & 1 with 120 GB of space on each, but I only have drive 0 showing. Is there a way to access this? Any help would be gratefully received - many thanks!

Have a look to see if its in disk management.

If not there then reboot into BIOS and see if the drive shows up there.

Does this have two drives or one drive two Partitions?

According to this it should have 2 120 gig drives

So as Fruit Bat /\0/\ it should show in Disc Manager And in BIOS

Thanks for the replies - yes it should have 2 x 120GB hard drives. I've tried disk management and it doesn't show up in there, and I'm not sure how to reboot through BIOS - is it by pressing X or some other key during start up? Cheers

TRy removing and refitting the drive to remake the contacts.

F2 key as it first switched on to get BIOS
