Sony TRV900E video camera, no pc connedtion

  [DELETED] 12:36 07 Mar 2011

I can no longer obtain a firewire connection from my Sony video camera, to my PC. I have eliminated the chance of a faulty firewire cable. Everthing was ok. until I installed SP1 into Windows7. Is this pure coincidence or could anyone suggest another reason? Any advice to resolve this problem, would be appreciated.

You need to test the Firewire Socket with other Hardware before going further

I've just noticed that once connected to the pc., In the view finder, a message reads 'DV in'. Should this read as 'DV out'if I'm sending video to my pc?
If so, how can I correct this, there is nowhere in the instruction manual to advise me.

Thanks Nontek, I've been using this camera in Win7 for a few months now. It's only this past week were I can't obtain a connection.
