Sony Micro vault Pro - USD5G vs. USB Memory Stick

  skaria 17:48 13 Mar 2006

Hello all,

I am considering buying the Sony Micro Vault pro usd5g - 5GB USB storage device for £113.00 from

Do you all think this is a good investment.

i will use it as a memory stick, and also to back up my PC, instead of using a DVD.

Do you think it is better to go for a 1.0Gb Sandisk Cruzer flash drive, which I purchased for £30.00. however, I will have to still use DVD's to back up then.

Thank you Very Much

I'd suggest something like this for backing up; you then have your 1Gb drive for transporting smaller files etc.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I want something which I can abck up onto and tran sport around. Hence either a falsh drive or the sonyt one above.
Any ideas???

Is the one I talked about above any good?

Fair enough - it's good but you pay a premium for the brand. Still, for portable 5gb it's not bad.

Another option might be to buy an MP3 player and have some music on the move!
