I have a Sony DVD DAV-S300 and have just returned from America to find that I cannot play the DVD's that I Bought there. Is there anyway to change the region code to accept these DVD's?

Go to click here and download dvdregion free. You can evaluate for 30 days I believe. It works. Have dvd.idle also, both good programs.

Sorry I forgot to tell you. You can change the region by going to my computer right click/properties/hardware your dvd drive and properties again. You can change a couple of times, not sure how many but after the last change your drive is locked to that region. Use region free, much better option.

You can also use dvdgenie. It is at click here

Hang on guys. This device is a standalone DVD home cinema system, not computer hardware.

Mackems, try taking it to a specialist DVD home cinema outlet and see what they can do.
