Sonicstage Version 2 Install problem

  blulightning747 16:28 21 Oct 2004

Today i found out that something has went wrong with SonicStage V2 so i'm trying to reinstall it but the only install is via the web. The error i got from SS was: Omgjbox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. So i tried to reinstall it but when i do i get an error from the installer which says that OpenMG secure module 4.0's files are damaged and i've to try later. I've tried the installer about 5 times with the same result. Is there any solution or even a different program i can use to fix the problem? Thanks for any help recieved.
OS: XP home, 512MB, 2.4Ghz.

There seems to be a problem with SS2 and the latest Microsoft XP/2000 hotfixes
If you updated for these in the last couple of weeks then uninstall them. Seems to be some debate as to whether its 840987 or 841533 that affects it - some say one some say the other.

Whichever, it completely knackered me as it trashed my SS2 and knocked out my library which I was part way through putting on and hadn't yet backed up

Reinstalling SS2 is a real pita as it seems you must delete all previous trace of it

Thanks very much, the one that caused the problem for me was 840987. Everything seems to be normal with SS now. Thanks very much.
