software for disabled child

  iqs 17:53 17 May 2010

My nephew is special needs, and has difficulty using a PC.

Is there software available which will make the interaction easier for him?.
Also any keyboards or mice which are design for disabled children?

Thank you

click here have a network of people who will assess and advise. They also have a "bank" of equipment for short term loan so you can try before you buy - some of the kit is quite expensive. My advice would be to contact them first.

I'd be interested to know how you got on. You can contact me via the yellow envelope if you want to keep it between us.

Hi marvin42.

I have sent the links to my sister who is currently viewing all the peripherals,to see which will benefit him the most.
I'm not sure what ones she has decided on,will contact her and find out.
Thanks for asking

I'd strongly recommend that your sister gets someone to do a proper assessment. A lot of it is trial and error and this stuff can be very expensive.
