Software that can decode AC3 from external source?

I have an X-Fi sound card which is supposed to have hardware AC3 / DTS decoding so was going to connect my Xbox 360 to my PC to output AC3 through my PC speakers. However it turns out that the version of the card Dell supply has the decoder removed.

Is there any software that will accept AC3 direct from an external source via an optical input, decode and then output it via my PC speakers?
