THANKS,
I HAVE A PROBLEM LOCATING THE DRIVERS FOR MY SM BUS CONTROLLER WHICH SOMETIMES SHOWS AS A PROBLEM DEVICE IN DEVICE MANAGER.CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHERE I SHOULD LOOK FOR IT TO REMEDY IT.IS IT ON THE WINDOWS XP DISC OR THE MANUFACTURERS DISC(MEDION).
I THINK IT IS ALSO RELATED TO THE NETWORK DRIVERS BUT IAM NOT SURE ABOUT SM BUS CONTOLLERS.ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFULL AS MY SYSTEM FREQUENTLY HAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS BUT I DONT KNOW WHY IT KEEPS ON HAPPENING.
CHEERS,
JIMI.

Possible that installing updated drivers for the motherboard will help - check the manufacturer site for info - click here#
for Aida32 which will ID the mobo if you need.

Try Intel and as DS says use Aida32 to find out what chipset your motherboard uses.

If you cannot find Aida32 I think the new version is now called Everest which can be downloaded from click here
