Slow ping

Morning all, recently upgraded to 2m by BT, since than my speed testing seems to return slower ping times that when using 1m?? Would some using 1m and 2m please ping fs2.com and let me know the time, help greatly appreciated.

just done it got 174 ms on a 1M connection.

Just got 178ms on a 2meg cable connection.

thanks so far, just pinged myself, returned 224ms, seems strange that the 2m ping is slower than 1m, please note i'm connecting via 801.1b, is this the problem or am i concerned about nothing?

I'm on NTL 300k and all the pings are around about that time.

I don't know if pinging a server is the best way to test connection speed. I would have thought it was better to test that via one of the on-line tools offered by various sites.
