slow performance since upgrade

after installing a new asus A8N-sli motherboard, a Ge-ForcePCX6600 video card aAMD Athlon3200 cpu and a 500watt power unit. things have slowed down,
re booting takes forever...can any of you good people out suggest a solution.

Have you looked at the jumper settings, i had the same problem, and it was with the advice from this forum that i cured the problem, it turned out that the board was set to run at 100 mhz ( factory default) and it should have been set to run at 200 mhz ( check your manual) this cured my problem!!!

It is generally recommended to re-install the OS when making a motherboard upgrade, due to all the drivers that are directly and indirectly affected. Look in the Device Manager to check that all drivers for motherboard chipsets and related components, such as the IDE Bus, are installed correctly.
