Slow Broadband Modem

  Thunderace7 12:52 18 Jan 2005

I have BT Broadband Basic and it works fine when using the BT Voyager modem that came with it. My PC has an internal AnyPoint DSL Modem 2240 and I want to change to this to clear some of the clutter from my desk and make free an additional USB port (the one connected to the Voyager). I have used the AnyPoint signup wizard to set the internal modem up but it only runs at 28.8kbps. Has anyone any idea what is wrong, please?

Do you know that it is running slow or is it just reporting that it is running slow. There are a number of broadband 'test' sites that you can use to test your broadband speed - have a look in the helproom for them.
