Sky router - odd behaviour

  numskull 08:49 25 Mar 2008

Whenever I reboot or switch off the router (normally left on) the router synchs at 8096 down and 384 up when it reconnects. I have a good connection all day with good speeds etc but every time, about 7pm my connection grinds to a halt and Internet pages will not load, downloads crawl and I have to reboot the router again.
Can anyone tell me why?

hi numskull.....
this will be down to line noise or you know this time is normally quite busy every one is on the internet .
the thing to do is reboot the router at peak times,
around 9 in the evening then use it normally for a couple of days then reboot again at 9 ish ...if you keep the reboots to about that time the router will
keep a good line sync and should give full access day or night.
i have found this site to be most helpfull .

hope this helps, Dave.
