Sky Router DG834GT / Network connection prob

  orangewhiteblue 13:43 07 Feb 2010

I've just bought a wireless printer and I think I've beggard up my router settings but not sure how!

Previously to trying to setup the printer (which I failed to do) I could connect a laptop and PS3 now neither will connect.

The main computer which is wired to the router is fine (vista64).

When I try and connect the laptop to the router it shows a full strength signal then say Windows cannot connect. Diagnose problem says, click for information on troubleshooting low wireless signal quality problems.

The laptop when I look at the connection properties shows
security type: WPA-Personnal
Encription type: AES
Network security key as: NHK***** (which is correct)

The router shows:
Wireless Network
Name (SSID): SKY31143
Region: Europe
Channel: 1 (as shown on sky
Mode: g&b

Wireless Access Point
Enable Wireless Access Point: Enabled
Allow Broadcast of Name (SSID): Enabled
Wireless Isolation: Disabled
Security Options
WPK-PSK: Enabled

WPA-PSK Security Encryption
Network Key (8-63 Characters): NHK*****

Any help greatfully received!!!

Is there any difference between WPK-PSK and WPA-AES?

In your Netgear homepage in the list on the left look for UPnP. After clicking on it use the check box to turn UPnP off.
After rebooting your PC try to connect your PS3 and laptop again.

Probably an IP conflicy issue. Try assiging a specific IP address to each device in the SKy Router settings.

You could try the forums as they are experts on the sky routers.
