The above provides free McAfee security software. I have Norton 2006 installed. If I want to use Macfee, can I just disable the Norton security without uninstalling it? If I unistall it then if I want to go back ,it will have to be brought upto date with Liveupdate!

my suggestion is leave the nortons installed until the subscription expires. then use the McAfee.
this is a lot easier and will prevent any other conflicts that may occur.

It is not adviseable to have 2 AV's running at the same time as they do conflict

Hope this helps

I was thinking along the same line but not sure if the McAfee sofware which i am getting next week, will still be valid in March 2007 when Norton subscription expires.

I am happy with Norton as it has worked fine so far.
