Badcop999, Can you just check this please?
Go to Start/ Programs/ SIS 630/730 v 2.02.
Does a menu come out with Utility tray and Uninstall??
If it does, then click on Utility Tray and an icon will appear in the systray.
Left click the icon and a further menu covers
System Properties
Display Properties

Put the cursor on the display properties and it should show the 3d facilities.

In the meantime, I'll try and look at the Cd and find out what I did install.

Badcop999, Searched high and low and finally found it. But first, I am running Win 98SE so your CD may be a later one than mine.
When I had your trouble (missing 3d screen, etc) I went to the suppliers of my base unit and they told me to do this:-
Browse the CD in Win Explorer.
Go to VGA/ SiS/
Click on Win 9X to open it and then double click on setup.exe.
Obviously, you will have to select the setup.exe that comes under the XP section.
As I said before, I finished up with two versions of SIS, v. 2.02 and v. 2.03.
I later removed v. 2.03 as that was the one without the 3D effect.
I suppose the above is really a delete and reinstall but in reverse order.
I hope this is of some use to you.
You can always e-mail me if you want any more info.
Best of luck.
