SIM Card recovery

Haven't been here for a while - all looks different - hope I've got the right forum.

I've just got a new mobile, and in the process of making sure all contacts were transferred from the old phone to SIM, I appear to have wiped the SIM and the phone.

Can anyone recommend SIM recovery s/w? I've Googled but all sites seem to be rather dubious looking. I know Piriform do Recuva, but see no mention of SIM cards. I'm guessing that if I get a SIM card reader, and the SIM shows as a drive on the PC, then Recuva may do the trick.

Unfortunately, by connecting the phone to the PC, I can only access the phone memory and not the SIM.

Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

I don't know of how to do recovery but perhaps you could tell us how you did the transfer?

According to ClickHere if you have just upgraded your phone all you have to do is:

Save all your contacts to your old phone's memory.

Insert the new SIM card into your old phone and copy or move the contacts to it.

Then insert the new SIM Card (with all your contacts) into your new phone.
