Hi, I am getting my broadband activated this week. I was wondering if I can use a normal modem on this phone line to access a non broadband ISP after activation. A silly question but I would like to know. Thanks Dennis.
Broadband on one side of the line...The 56K modem on the other side...So yes you can.
Yes. The filter socket for broadband splits the line so you have a broadband connection socket and also a socket for your phone into which you could if necessary plug your dialup modem.
I think that once you have savoured broadband, you won't want to bother with a 56k dial up!
Thats what I thought, Thanks for that. Dennis
i pulled my modem out and threw it down the garden.
