Shutting down problems

  algernonymous 13:12 08 Aug 2004

50% of the times I shutdown, I get to the 'Windows is shutting down' screen, and that's as far as it goes. I have to press 'reset', wait for scandisk to run, then try again, when it usually works O.K. Any ideas?

I get the same problem and in spite of using all the suggestions on MSN etc.,it still persists. It seems to be that if I close down the internet or some other program I am using, and quickly close down I get this problem. If I close things and wait a few seconds,it does not happen. It seems as if windows is titying up and if you rush it,it throws a huf.
