shredding or disposing of CDs with data on

Any small cheap CD shredders available or other ways to destroy confidential data on CD-R. I've been taking a blow torch to them but would like an easier and more sensible solution. Breaking them up works, but again a sensible solution for the office would be appreciated.

Put them in a freezer or similar plastic bag and stamp on them.

Just bend them in half and throw away.

Brillo pads work wonders.

Breaking up disks in a plastic bag prevents having to pick up small pieces afterwards - just dump it in the bin.

Thanks for those. I thought of taking them to the airport with me , and just as we are boarding the plane and passing the engines as they tick over (at high speed), throwing them in .... but I might get blamed if we crash due to engine failure!!

So is giving them a good score with a sharp blade / scissors /brillo / brick wall enough to render them unreadable, as it seems the easiest to do ?

I cut them up with a pair of large scissors as with DVD's also.
