Should I upgrade to 8Mb broadband?

I've heard of people having problems with upgrading to 8Mb broadband and am wondering if I should do it.

I'm with BTConnect at the moment and don't envisage changing but wonder if the upgrade will be problematic.

I am going away tomorrow for about 10 days so if I order now, it might have all the teething problems sorted when I come back.

If I do upgrade, I have to agree to a further one year contract.

Any thoughts welcome as always, Dio.

Thanks Confab; that's what I was wondering about.

I'll choose to have the regrade done on October 25th and see how it goes after that.

Thanks for all the advice; it seems good at the moment - I'm getting an average of 6200 Kbps - lowest has been 5101 and highest 6822.

I'm about 700m from the exchange in a direct line so am happy with the results. The main benefit has been that I can stream BBC radio without ever any pauses for buffering.
