Is mt equipment out of date and if so, what should i upgrade it to.

Not sure what each of the following are but I have:

AMD Athlon XP 2800+
512Mb Ram
NVIDIA nforce Audio Codec Interface
Radeon 9200

Any advice is welcomed.

It depends on what you want to do. If the PC does all you ask of it then theres little point, if you want to play the newest games I would suggest a new graphics card and another 512mb memory.
If it ain't broken don't try to fix it.

Thanks for the response,

I want to lay the newer games. What kind of graphics card should I buy?

Do you know if you have an AGP port or a PCI Express port on your motherboard, if not do you know the make and model of your motherboard. If you're not sure on that either click here this will tell you.

Couldn't find the LA version but heres all the others click here they all have AGP so you need an AGP card, now you have to decide how much you want to spend, £50, £75, £100 or more. Would suggest the PNY 6600GT if you can get it its PC Advisors only AGP card listed or if you can get it a ATI 9800 PRO, older card but good value. If you don't want to spend that much then this card is good for the money but the 9800 Pro and the 6600GT are better, but for the moneys its very good value click here= plus you get 3 games and a mouse. I had the one below this about a year and a half ago and it cost me about £120.

Really appreciate the help.

There are still a number of AGP cards around. As already stated, its really up to what you want to spend. Try somewhere like click here to give yourself an idea.

Only other thing worth mentioning, is make sure you have a PSU that meets the minimum power requirements for the card. Most modern cards require a decent 350/400w or better.

Have fun.

I would also agree with increasing the memory to 1Gig.
