Should I remove these files?

My PC has been very slow and when I tried to enhance sme photos, the pc froze, and I got a message along the top of the screen saying 'not reponding' forcing me to do control, alt and delete.

I have been going through my add and remove programs getting rid of things I don't use anymore. I have noticed a lot of windows security update lists and something called 'Oomph microformat tools'. Should I get rid of this and some of the windows security updates, or will it mess up my pc?

Would also like to add software for my handycam.

Any advice would be helpful as I'm not technically minded. Many thanks.

If you Google 'Oomph microformat tools' you will no doubt find out more about it and can decide whether you need it or not.

Don't touch the Microsoft security updates unless you have installed SP3 after them. Try also CCleaner click here , the one at the top of the list. This might help clear out any clutter.
