Sharing Broadband

  Hitchhiker 16:53 13 May 2003

The last subject prompted me to ask about this one. There is broadband in the house but two people that want to use it (at the same time). Is this possible without installing another connection? What do I need to do and lastly what would the impact on speed be?

BT will sell you the wireless kit for it, as for the speed there is not much in it...

Thanks for the info but we are using Telewest. Maybe a dumb question but will the BT kit work with Telewest?

As above you will need to network the computers together. The simplest way is to use a router. Next you would need to decide if you wish to use a wireless connection or if you are willing to run a network cable to each PC... post back.

Thanks for the help - I will look into all my options.
