Hey all,
When you share a folder using windows 98 you have the option of setting a password.
However when you share a folder using windows xp you do not have the option of setting a password. Does anyone know if there is another way you can set a password to a shared folder in windows xp (maybe using command prompts etc). Why would they drop such a feature in a newer version of windows?
Thankyou

You don't need to set a password because you can set permissions on who can access the folder and who can't.

ok
how do you set the permissions on who can access it and who can't. i heard you can only do that in a domain environment? I just have two computers connected via a crossover cable.
