Setting up Dynamode ADSL router

  gillersuk 19:21 29 Jan 2005

I have been trying to set up this modem/router with virgin broadband on three computers. The network works fine but the automatic address setting that is stipulated in the manual doesn't work. Has anyone else had thsi problem or know how to fix it? Help much appreciated

go start, connect to, show all connections and right click the router connection.

On the general tab, select TCP/IP and then click properties

on the next pop up make sure that obtain an ip address automatically and obtain a DNS address automatically are checked

this should when done with above ensure your router connects to virgin

I set one up the other day (d-link) and encapsulation was set to LLC - thought I would have to go back in and change it when virgin made the connection live but it worked OK.
