Serial ATA vs ATA 133

  Wellpastit 20:40 25 Mar 2004

I am about to update my computer hardware,
and would like to use the faster Serial ATA 150 Hard Drives that some boards support.
But I have just read an article that states the Serial ATA Drives are more suitable for storage uses.
Does this mean I should have both systems on board, and use an ATA 133 for my primary partition, or can I use Serial ATA for both drives.
I did notice that some access times were slower on Serial ATA, so perhaps the small everyday access jobs are quicker on ATA 133?
Completely confused

I've posted a response to your equivalent post in the Consumerwatch section. Hope it's of some help to you.

I copy Video to Hard Drive and wanted the fastest write times.
But using ATA 100 seems to cope, so I'll just update to 133 on this new rebuild.
Checked out the web addresses and added to Favourites - Thanks
