sent items missing in outlook 2003

since a crash on my computer last week i can't see any sent items sent from the date of the crash. i have reinstalled outlook and restored to an earlier pst but to no avail.

i am desperate as i need records of contact with customers!

emails are received by recipients fine and by me fine

As an initial workaround, include a copy for you when sending the mail to the customer. Then check Tools/Options/Email Options/Message Handling, and ensure the box to save copies of items sent in the Sent folder is checked.

If it's already checked but is not storing a copy in Sent, pass !

You could try Help/Detect & Repair ?

It is just possible that a box in Outllok 2003 has become unchecked.

Tools - Options - On preferences tab click on e-mail options and check that the box "save copies of messages in sentitems folder" is ticked.

but no joy, have ticked and unticked and ticked again!!!!!
