Sending a file over 100MB to a freind

I would like to send a video file to a freind over the internet, but dont know how to transfer it to his computer. My basic knowledge would be communicating though both IP adress.

any ideas?

You would be better burning it on a disk and sending it snail mail. 100Mb will cause most computers to die unless they both have BB or the ISP will not allow it.

Most ISP emails are limited in filesize,so emailing it isn't a viable option.Use of MSN Messenger on both machines would allow it to be sent(if your on dialup,it will take ages,if on BB,then cutoff times wont affect you)There will be other methods, probably better,so hopefully someone with greater knowledge of Networking two pc's over the internet could post.

I normally use MSN Messager, but sometime you cannot do it if your pc or your friend PC is behind a firewall.

My pc is running a 1MB Broadband connection on telewest, and his is on NTL not sure the speed as he is a novice! what sort of connection speed should I expect to receive say 1mb on both pcs? I also have a 700Mb holiday video too. I know the easy way is to write to cd, but isit this what broadband is for!!

Thank you for your help some good suggestions

I don't think I would be happy with a 100mb download, even though I am on Broadband at 600. I would be prepared to wait a couple of days for it to be delivered by snail mail
