Going on holiday and taking my netbook as one of the local bars has free wi-fi.Can i send and recieve emails from my UK provider [Virgin] or will I have to alter any settings in my outlook express mail account?

You'll have to use something like Gmail or Hotmail with a new account. I use gmail from choice.

I access my virgin media email when I'm travelling by doing as GANDALF <|:-)> suggests and logging into webmail. I can confirm it's faff free. No need to set up any new acounts or mess with settings.

Log onto click here and click on the Mail icon. Enter your user name (which is your email address) and your password and off you go.

Very soon your Virgin Mail will transfer over to Google Mail anyway...

This is true. But at least I'll only have one account to worry about
