Secure pages on Firefox

  rômanab 21:32 19 Nov 2004

I have just noticed that on certain secure web pages such as click here the little padlock icon has a red diagonal line through it. When I click on it the certificate is displayed and is valid. Also, the address starts with https so everything else seems fine.

Does this happen to anyone else?

No padlock at all on IE

I've just accessed the page and Firefox threw up a warning that I was about to wiew an encrypted page with some unencrypted content.Information entered onto the site may be available on the web.(or words to that effect).

Maybe the red line through the padlock is to warn you that the security of the site is not that good!

Probably why Ie does not give a padlock symbol.
