Has anyone used them, and if so were they useful?. Also, are they non-destructive to existing data on the hard drive.?click here
Good, if nothing else works and depending on what the problem is.I've used it to lowlevel format a seagate disk and it sorted some problems.
I use Data Lifeguard NT.exe from the Western Digital website, but it's basically a means of checking that the hard drive is in good order. You'll find similar utilities on all the HDD manufacturers' websites.
