Screen Shots

Hello Friends,
How do I create a screen shot and save it for use in a write-up? I am on Win XP Pro with MS Office 2007. Thanks.

This is IMHO the very best ... you can set it to automatically save your captures in your My Pictures, you can edit, add comments etc at your will! And this version is Free!

Notice the red/green icon on the left, in my screenshot ...

Thanks friends, and sorry for long, long silence. I wonder if screen shots cannot be taken right from the MS Windows environment without having to install a third party software? I am using MS Office 2007 over Win XP Pro.

Yes, you can do so by pressing the Prt Scr (print screen) button on your keyboard, then pasting the resultant 'grab' in your favourite photo editor for editing it, etc. Paint.Net click here is a better alternative to MS Paint for this. G

PrtScr captures the whole desktop - or select individual windows using Alt+PrtScr
