screen resolution and colour too high for dvd?

  g9vdp 15:43 08 Jan 2004

I have been having difficulty playing back dvd's that I have before played on my laptop. I'm currently running XP Pro, and view dvd's with Windows Media Player9. Everytime I try to watch a dvd, there's an error saying that my screen resolution is too high as well as my colour. When I make it a bit lower, the dvd still doesn't play.

Can anybody please help?

Check you have the correct and most up-to-date drivers for your graphics card. Have seen some odd errors with ATi cards when playing DVDs until the latest driver was downloaded. This included a brand new Evesham machine.
