scheduled tasks and passwords

Hi all,
XP Home, no network, "Scheduled Tasks". Disc clean up etc, are set for periodic activation, but will not work because "The scheduled task did not run because an incorrect password or user......" I cannot read the rest because it is off screen, but the gist is that it needs a password to work. Why is this if I am the so called administrator and how can I get it to work? I have tried re-setting it with a new password. Also while I am at it. How can I read the messages when they trail off screen to the right. I cannot find any way to read the whole message.
Thanks.

When you start up your PC I think you should need to log on by entering your password if you are the administrator.

To move any window, grab the top with the mouse and move it, though I don't know why that message should be off the screen.
