A while ago my pc gave up the ghost as to speak and crashed at boot, concering the Kernel32.dll which had become corrupt, now this was replaced in dos and I got my pc up and running again. However ever since then I have lost some of the abilitys of my os including my scandisk feature from boot, any ideas.

click here - you can probably ignore the stuff about compressed drives. However it explains what to enter or change in MSDOS.SYS to enable/disable scandisk to run at boot up after an incorrect shutdown.
