Saving a screen shot to insert into a document

I want to save a scrren shot so that i can insert it into a word document.

How do i go about this?

press the "print screen" key on your keyboard then open "PAINT" open edit and select paste,then save your capture.

As an "after hint" while PrtScrn will save the entire screen to the clipboard for later paste; using Alt+PrtScn will only send the active window. So if it's just a window you want to capture use Alt+PrtScn (it'll save you cropping)

As above but you can paste it straight into Word.

After pressing "Prt Scr" or "Alt/Prt Scr" right click in the Work doc where you want the screen shot to appear, then click paste.

Just in case you haven't found the Prt Scr key, it is on the top row of the keyboard, near the right side. (Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious).

You may have to have Word open to do this.

graham√ No you dont it will work without word being open I have just tried it as I was testing AndyJ tip.
