SAS how good?

  Muergo 14:07 24 May 2010

I have been running Super Anti Spyware free version for two years now.

I have had an offer from them to upgrade to the super pro whatever top version for ten dollars with an option of a lifetime subscription for another ten dollars.

Is it worth it, I have other programs installed, the new Microsoft Essentials, Malwarebytes, ASC, and also Threatfire (which I can't find where it's embedded)

I used to have Avira but disabled it as it clashed with Panda Suite which I have uninstalled due to lousy customer service over a problem of the firewall not switching on.

Incidentally, Panda's price for renewal is nearly twice the price of buying a whole new package from Amazon.

SAS is very good but I suggest you stick to the free version of SAS and MWB.
I have both of those in the Pro Version, but I have had to revert back to the Free versions because their "Real Time" clashes with my Kaspersky Security 2010 Suite.
I still use the free versions regularly to scan, but I don't think the Pro version of either is worth it.

What do you think about the Microsoft Essentials? M

  rawprawn 19:59 24 May 2010

Although I don't use it, the reports are excellent. I get KIS supplied free from my bank, if I didn't I would install Microsoft Essentials.

I think you are talking about Barclays?

I am just about to apply for one of their credit cards, I wonder if they give me a Kapersky, although my current account is with another bank.

  rawprawn 21:40 24 May 2010

I'm afraid it is free only if you bank online with Barclays.
(Barclaycard) is a different company)

  rawprawn 21:47 24 May 2010

By the way it's Kaspersky
