Samsung Laptop NP700G7A S02UK no display

Hi My Windows laptop boots but there is nothing on the screen. I replaced the screen but it made no difference. If I connect a monitor by HDMI my Desktop shows on the monitor. Could it be the LCD cable in the Laptop? Thanks

Yes it could be the LCD ribbon cable faulty or not inserted correctly at screen or motherboard.

It could be something as simple as you only have it set for external monitor - look for a blue squre on one of the F keys press Fn and the blue square F key this should change the screen setting press again and you should rotate through the options - LCD only LCD = external - external only.

Try reselecting the display by rotating the knob in the top right hand corner. It might work. Although I am doubtful it just might work. I have the same laptop and it does depend on what version of Windows you are using.
