sampling audio from dvd movies

Can anyone suggest a way to rip a minute or so of audio from a dvd movie? I want to record a short section of sound (background noise, some speech etc), to use in an english lesson I'm planning.

providing it is not protected i would suggest win amp or real player or even musicmatch.

I have realplayer, but I don't know how to use it to take a section of sound. How would I do this?

does it not say in the options to record this item or similar.

A basic way of doing it is to use windows own sound recorder , fire up the dvd and hit record , save it as a wav to put onto whatever media you want , you can choose what quality you want it saved at .
