i keep getting runtime error c:\windows\rundll32
exe popping up all the time ,does anyone know how
to cure this ?

Can you be specific about the error because runtime and rundll errors are totally different things. If you are simply getting runtime errors click here this could point to a virus infection amongst other things. However rundll32 points to OS error and is not easy to track down click here

Have you done a virus scan? Have you installed any new software recently? You may need the visual basic runtime files http ://click here (remove the space after http) and copy to your browser

Is it when you are running any particular program, or on a random basis whatever you are doing?

Anyway, it will depend on your operating system:

if Winxp, try this

sfc /scannow

and click run.

You will need your OS cd.

[Note the spcae after sfc, and the two "n"s in scannow.]
