rundll32 in Win98

  rubyred1 09:46 22 Nov 2004

I'm using Windows 98 and get 'cannot find file c:\windows\rundll32.exe (or one of it's components) Make sure that the path & filename are correct and that all libraries are available', whenever I try to use right click on desktop and click properties. I also cannot use anything in the control panel window, and can't even change the time on my clock. Can anyone help? Thanks

Have your Win98 CD ready in the drive, click on Start/Run and type in SFC click ok and start the systems file checker.

Running System File Checker will verify the integrity of your operating system files, and to restore them if they are corrupted. The System File Checker also gives you a convenient way to extract compressed files (such as drivers) from your installation disks.
