try closing all programs, place your xp cd in in the disc drive and click

start/run and type sfc /scannow let it run it will replace any damaged system files

try updating windows click here

failing that try downloading it click here

unzip it and cut and paste into the windows ststem32 directory.

i don't have a cd for the xp because it was pre installed.

i've downloaded the file and tried to paste it in system 32 folder, message replace file came up but then the computer saying access is denied.

and this file also smaller than the original.

this problem also stopping me from accessing the webpage when i clicked a shortcut on my e-mail in the outlook express. it just not responding at all.

don't really know what to do really.

unless you've got another idea.
thanks for helping me.

if your operating system is pre installed then you dont need to insert the disc.

type sfc /scannow

it will replace any damaged ones from your hidden partition.

if that doesnt work try the dll you downloaded

boot up in safe mode(press F8 or F5)as the computer starts and select it.

should let you replace it then.try sfc first.

i've run the scan disk function. when it's finishes nothing came up. i clicked on the link still didn't work so i turned off the com.

Today i turned on the computer, and now everything is working as it was. don't know what has happened.but it's now fixed.

thanks a lot for helping. i really appreciate it.
