Router Password - Netgear D834g V2

  pcmuppet 11:07 02 Oct 2005

A 'computer expert' kindly installed my wireless computer network for a desktop / laptop using the above router.

It works well (with the addition of a buffalo antenna), however the network is unsecured. I want to add WPA security by unfortunately, I do not know the username / password that he used to set up the router. I have contacted him but he does not know either, is there anyway of finding this out?

How do you change the password?

With the Netgear D834g V2 under maintenance there is the option to change password, under old password put in the default password then enter your new password in both boxes and apply, it fetches you back to the same page with blank boxes but rest assured it has changed your password.
