Hi guys, I am trying to install windows 7 on my preinstalled xp pc.I get this error message. 'Windows has encounted a problem commcating with a device to your compter. This eror can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as extnal usb drive,or by faulty hardware such as hard drive or cd rom drive that is failing.Make sure any removble storage is properly conncted and restart your pc. Status:0*c00000e9 Info:an unexpected I/O error has occured.' I have not conncted any ext drive. What could be causing it. Thanx a lot.

I suggest you update the BIOS. You must get in touch with the system manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer to update the BIOS.

Or go into the BIOS and changed the "SATA operation" setting to AHCI.
