ring my own telephone

  denis93c 06:37 20 Oct 2003

now that i have broadband and my telephone line is not tied up,i want to use my landline as an internal intercom.
i remember there used to be a number you can dail to make your own telephone ring something like 165.
i know 175 gives you your own number on a recorded message.
ps,i am on ntl.

17070 is a BT number for checking out your phone system such as how quiet the line is whilst in use.

By dialling 17070 you can select the service you require by pressing 1, 2, 3 or 4 as necessary.
